Police personnel to get Rs.4,500 more

The allowance of all Police personnel will be increased by Rs. 4,500 from January 2013, Police spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said.

He said the minimum increase for a constable will be Rs.4500 and will increase according to their ranks.

Allowances will be separate from the basic salary earned by an officer and will include allowances paid for duty in remote areas, cost of living and the subsistence fee.

In any nation the security forces must be paid top dollar if one is to gain their devoted service without fear or corruption. This has been a long time coming and thanks to the new Police Commission I feel thigs have changed for the better. The Police and Armed Forces are the guardians of the nation and deserve the very BEST and please ensure they receive it. Increments need to be made on a very regular basis. The Police duties also need to be looked at so that any Officer does a reasonable duty shift and not made to work unseemingly hours unless of course there is an Emergency when this might be inevitable. POLICE MUST BE LOOKED AFTER IN A POLICE STATE.
THE "KOSSAS" GET MOST OF THEIR FOODSTUFFS
FREE AS WE SAW ON TV. THEY EITHER TAKE A BRIBE OR GET "COMMISS" ON THE TRAFFIC VIOLATION FINES.
THE MOST CORRUPT IN THIS COUNTRY!!!
