Central Provincial Council UPFA member G. Rajapakse today revealed at a PC meeting that he was fined 50 Singapore Dollars (Rs. 5,099) for dropping a bus ticket on a Singapore road.

He said such laws should be implemented in Sri Lanka, too, to protect the environment. (J. A.L. Jayasinghe)

need a new ministry to maintain the huge amount of finance which can be collected in this matter. first make the infrastructure regarding wastage and then make rules. via DM Android App

Sri Lanka laws need to be implement for not dropping a bus ticket. People get slapped in public, abducted, canned etc. These need to be addressed first.

What nonsense. If politicians cannot be fined for speeding, how can you charge them for dropping a bus ticket on the road?

If you could implement such a senario it would be wonderful but then again Sri Lanka has alot of laws which people dont even bother to follow. One such law is J walking yes it was implemented in the very beginning fining even the elderly but now that law seems to be sleeping via DM Android App
