“My son was returning from the Moneragala Divisional secretariat office at about 10.30 this morning. And a gang of UNP supporter arrived in several vehicles obstructed his way and assaulted my son and stabbed him in the back. Only a person who was carrying out a government contract could do something like this, Mr. Jayasuriya said.
Mr. Jayasuriya said his son Tharindu Sampath was admitted to the Moneragala Hospital.
