Noori murder suspects to confess

Four suspects arrested in connection with the killing of the estate superintendent Nihal Perera today informed the Awissawela Chief Magistrate Anushka Seneviratne that they were willing to provide on camera statements.The Magistrate notified that the statements be made on the 12th or 13th of September.
The suspects from Ambilipitiya and Angunakola have been remanded till the September 18 pending an identification parade.
23 suspects including Anil Champika alias ‘Atha kota’ the former Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman (UPFA) are currently detained in connection with the killing, pending further inquiry on the September 23.
