The Officer in Charge of the National Child Protection Authority Chief Inspector Buddhika Balachandra has been transferred with immediate effect to the Police Training College, sources said.

Balachandra was instrumental in prosecuting child molesters and played a leading role in banning pornographic material available on mobile phones, which according to sources was not received well by some telecommunication players in the industry. ( H.F)

Who know what went wrong. When doing public service you get to balance both sides. You cannot he harsh and rigid on some and lenient on another based on your personal view point. So when a transfer is affected media highlight the person as goon and the best. But his superiors may be thinking otherwise.

So do not comment saying that entire system has failed.
