Mystery vibration at Bambalapitiya
Investigations are being carried out into a report that residents had sensed some kind of a vibration which had occurred in Bambalapitiya last evening, Disaster Management Centre (DMC) Deputy Director Pradeep Kodippili said.
“The vibration was sensed in several houses in Bambalapitiya a few minutes after 4.00 p.m.,” he said.
Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) has been informed by the DMC to conduct investigations.
“We suspect that the vibration might have emanated from a building construction site. No damages were reported,” Mr. Kodippili said. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
