Video: MR warns parents about Facebook dangers

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has warned parents and teachers against the social media network Facebook and requested them to be more vigilant about the children who use it.

Speaking at a function at the Mindodaya School in Hettipola, the President claimed that he warned the parents about the Facebook issue three to four years ago.

“If we let the children go down the wrong path it would not do the country any good. I brought up the Facebook issue three or four years ago. Parents should be careful and children should have a thorough understanding about it. We have to know the good and the bad and takeout what we can use. Both teachers and parents should be cautious about this,” the President said.(DS)
