Monkey business caught on camera
The proprietor of a large grocery in Mihiyangana opened the grocery store on last morning to find it had been ransacked by thieves.However to their amazement the thieves had entered the grocery without opening the door locks or breaking open the doors.
The thief had eaten fairly a large stock of sweet meats, biscuits, and also tasted a cup of yogurt before opening a bottle of water and drinking it.
The owner was surprised to find that the thief had opened the drawers and strewn cash all over, but a single cent had not been stolen.
However, the owner of the shop could not but laugh, forgetting his losses, when he checked the recordings in the CCTV camera to find that it was a money that had entered the shop and left it in sixes and sevens after fully refreshing.
The grocery had been left to the mercy of the monkey for about 1 ½ hours. (Ranjith Karunaweera)
