Met. warning: Heavy showers

Meteorology Department warned today that heavy showers up to more than 100mm in could occur in the Western slopes of the central hills.

Spill gates at Lakshapana, Canyon, Maussakale and Kuand Kukuleganga reservoirs had been opened, officials said.

Meanwhile, flash flood were recorded in Watawala, Dikkoya and Ambagamuwa DS Divisions in the Nuwara-Eliya District, Disaster Management Centre said.
