Audio: Mervyn blames Gampaha politicos

Public Relations Minister Mervyn Silva charged yesterday that politicians in the Gampaha District had failed in their duty in resolving the crisis that had erupted regarding the contamination of drinking water.

“ I’m not afraid to say this, if the politicians had taken necessary steps to prevent this at the right time or had listened to what I said these deaths or injuries could have been averted,” he said.

“I might be charge sheeted for making this statement but I am ready to answer them,” he said.
