Mannar mass grave halt temporary: Police

The excavations at the Mannar mass grave site had been temporarily halted until a report of the Commissioner of Archeology Department looking into the archeological value was received, the Police spokesaman said today.

The Police earlier said that skeletal remains of 80 bodies had been unearthed from the mass grave at Thiruketheeswaram in Mannar during the excavation work carried out. (LSP)
