Mangala invites UNHRC Chief to SL

External Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera is due to invite UN Human Rights Council Chief Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein to visit Sri Lanka.
Ministry sources told Daily Mirror that the official invitation will be extended today, but added the dates for the visit have not been confirmed yet. Last year, during Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to Sri Lanka, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in a joint statement, invited the UNHRC Chief to visit Sri Lanka within the year.
