Man stabbed after cricket match

A young man was stabbed to death near the Mighajandura cooperative stall last night (23) while he was on his way home after watching the Sri Lanka- Bangladesh cricket match at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Suriyawewa Cricket Ground.

The 27-year-old victim Epa Kankanamge Dhanushka was a resident of tract two of the Migahajandura colony.

Police believe that a previous animosity between two parties had resulted in the killing.

Two suspects were taken into custody in connection with the incident. (Ariyadasa Kodituwakku)
