Man burnt inside his lorry
In an unfortunate incident, a driver, who had locked his lorry and slept inside the vehicle, died when a fire had gutted the lorry in Kegalle this evening, police said.
They said the fire had gutted the lorry which had been used to transport flower plants from Welimada to the Gampaha area this evening, close to Karandupona junction.
The driver of the lorry had locked the vehicle and slept inside the lorry before it was on fire. Later the people in the area had unlocked the door of the lorry and found that the driver had died inside the lorry.
The victim was a resident of Bibilegedera, Nuwara Eliya Road, Keppitipola, Welimada.
