Lightning kills woman in Anuradhapura

A 52-year-old mother of three children was killed and seven others njured when they were struck by lightning while working in a paddy field in Thambuththegama, Anuradhapura, police said.

Those injured were admitted to the Anuradhapura base hospital. Our reporter confirmed that the area is experiencing heavy rains. (Athula Bandara)
