Lawyers protest end up in brawl

Two protest campaigns organised this morning by two groups of lawyers outside the Kalutara Court Complex, for and against the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake ended up in a brawl.

Both groups were lawyers of the Kalutara Court Complex. The brawl started after the group supporting the impeachment forcefully took away the placards displayed by those against the impeachment. (Sunil S.Thanthhriarachchi)
