A 30-year-old Sri Lankan housemaid working in Saudi Arabia has been injured after being assaulted and dumped on a roadside. She was later hospitalized by the police following information received by a citizen of the country.

The victim identified as Agnes Perera from Bloemendhal Road, Colombo who had gone to Saudi Arabia one year ago, had been ruthlessly assaulted allegedly by her employer.

Her left hand had five cut injuries while the right had burn injuries. A clothe washing chemical had been applied on her head which had suffered severe beating, a Sri Lankan who visited her said yesterday. (Vineetha M. Gamage)

What else could be expected from Animals? I'm sure we insult even animals if we use the word animal because they attack only if they find a threat.We should look at alternatives.I'm not sure why their husbands want to send them?Why they married them if they can't afford to feed them? There are enough of options in the country if you really want to make some good money .Girls who are in garment industry make fair amount of money.Having better options what still attract them to ME to shovel other's dirt?
