Storming Rishard’s office: BBS monks get bail

Six Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) monks, who were alleged to have stormed Minister Rishard Bathiudeen’s office during the previous government, were ordered to be released on a surety bail of Rs.100, 000 each by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage today. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)

Bring up some law for monks that if they found guilty under countries law due to any situation, then prohibit him from the status of being as a monk.

Had the sanghadikaranaya dealt with these miscreants long before they were hauled up before normal courts like common criminals, at least they could have minimized the damage caused to Buddhism by these robed thugs
