There is a maximum speed within the city, which all commercial vehicles must observe. Why are the Traffic Policemen never seen using the motorbikes given at a massive expense to the tax payers to flag down errant drivers? Bikes are never seen being used for "OFFICIAL USE".
What happened to the GPS systems bought by tax money, which were going to be installed in buses? When I look at the pictures of the accident, I begin to wonder if it was a white lorry or a white van. She has been writing articles which are political in nature. With all the troubles faced by the journalists in this country, an accident like this, that too on a straight road is questionable.

Chances are the Lorry was OLDER than the Journalist. Sadly MOST of the Lorries/Buses that ply on the roads are NOT road worthy. I wonder how they get fitness/ road worthy certificates.
Another young life lost to stupidity. Of all places, the lorry goes out of control in slow moving traffic areas.. Did the driver possess a valid license is a thing to be looked into.

Similar to Saudi Arabia where there is regious police to ensure strict compliance with their religeous code, we should have special military (not the ineffective police) personnel on our streets with long canes to stop and administer public caning to those motorists who drive like maniacs and snuff away our precious lives.
