Jaic Hilton residents stuck without lifts

The residents of the 32 story apartment complex, Jaic Hilton in Colombo today complained that the elevators in the building were not functioning properly causing great inconvenience to them.

They complained some of the residents living in the upper most floors were stuck without access to food because of malfunctioning elevators.

However, when contacted by the Daily Mirror, the engineering department of the building rejected the claims of the residents.

“The elevators are being maintained properly and had been working through the entire day,” an official said.
