Investigations against five politicos
An investigation had been launched by the Badulla Police, on the request of a returning officer, to look into three UPFA and two UNP candidates in connection with election law violations.
The letter of the returning officer with a video footage had mentioned that the banners and photos of the five candidates were used at illegal processions.
Five candidates are as follows –
Anura Vidanagamage (UPFA)
M.P.Leelasena (UPFA)
Nimal Ratnayake (UPFA)
Jayantha Kannangara (UNP)
Harin Fernando (UNP)
