Indian Naval ship in Trinco Port
An Indian naval ship ‘Carnicobar’ arrived at the Port of Trincomalee on an operational visit on yesterday.
The visiting ship sailing under the command of Lieutenant Commander Akshay Dixit was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on arrival, the Sri Lanka Navy said.
The Commanding Officer of the INS Carnicobar, accompanied by Defence Advisor of India, Captain Sumeet Kapoor, paid a courtesy call on the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne. They held cordial discussions and exchange mementos as a gesture of goodwill.
The visiting Indian naval ship will be harboured in Sri Lanka till December 27.
