Indian arrested for overstaying visa
A 31-year-old Indian was arrested yesterday on charges of have overstayed his tourist visa and engaging in illegal trade in Nanu Oya, Police said.They said the suspect is a resident of Tamil Nadu and the arrest was made while he was selling clothes at Nanu Oya.
He was produced before the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate yesterday and released on a Rs.10,000 of surety bail. The case was put off for today. (CP)
