Lakshman Hulugalle, the Director General of the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) said the Centre was not abolished only ‘defined’.

When asked whether he was aware of the decision, Mr. Hulugalle said, “Yes. I was aware of the decision as we had had discussions previously in this regard.” He said his post was still secure.

Mr. Hulugalle said the decision was taken because there was no longer a war situation in the country. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

So the MCNS was never "defined" till now. And what will they call it now that its "defined"? Maybe they can call it Media Centre for Normal Security since the war is over. I think his Done for Good (DG) now.
