He swindled local politicians

The Colombo Crime Division (CCD) was able to apprehend a suspect who had been allegedly involved in deceiving politicians and taking money posing off as a private secretary of a prominent VIP of the government, police said.
Accordingly, the suspect, who is from the Sevenagala area, had obtained money from Deputy Mayor of the Matale (Rs. 5000), the Vice Chairman of the Buttala Pradeshiya Sabha (Rs. 6000) and from the member of the Padavi-Sripura Pradeshiya Sabha (Rs. Rs 5000).

The poor guy has taken small amounts like 5000 and 6000. He should have tried big sums like 500,000 and 600,000 as these local politicians are too rich now after entering politics but, of course most of them are headless fools!
