Harsha asks to restore water supply quickly
The United National Party Kotte organizer Parliamentarian Harsha de Silva said tens of thousands of residents of certain areas of Kotte, Nugegoda, Jambugasmulla and Udahamulla within the Kotte electorate have still not got their water connections restored close to Sixty hours since being denied of the utility even though almost twice the time estimated time for the so called repair has elapsed.“We have subsequently come to know that there was no repair needed but the main water lines at the Polduwa bridge near Parliament had to be raised so that the UDA project for leisure boats and yachts on the Diyawanna for the super rich could be accommodated by the end of the month deadline dictated by the bosses of the defense establishment,” he charged.
“We demand immediate restoration of water so that people can at the very least attend to their basic human needs,” he added.
