In Tamil Medium Boys School They Listed Our College as Jaffna Hindu Vidiyalaya. Actually it should be as Jaffna Hindu College. It is too much insulting to rename the school in a list. This is what We Tamil feel discrimination in Language and Race

Dharmaraja V = 184; Ananda College = 183. Ananda College has dropped below Dharmaraja V. New nice Colombo or Kandy, we are in the same universe.

Very true , this is a typical example of Singhalaization .They want to discriminate us in every possible way , like these things is good for us as this always reminds us that there is a need for a freedom.

karu Thursday, 19 December 2013 08:53 AM
not mistaken it has been mistaken purposely , and this is the way it has to be spelt in Sri lanka , this is a Singhala only country .

Should upgrade all schools to Royal College and Visakha Vidyalaya Standard, If they can get 186 from the rural schools why not they continue their eduction in the same school, But give the same facilities Colombo schools enjoy.

How come these cut off marks go up year by year. As I know RC has about 16 classes from grade 6 onwards. I think we have every right to know the no of children admitted for grade 1 & how many are actually there when that particular group of children reached grade 5. Also how many maximum no of children can be accomadated at grade 6 & how many actually got admitted from grade 5 exam............... I think some fishy happening!!!!!

dcol Tuesday, 17 December 2013 11:30 AM
Pl check the statistics from 1980s. Ananda was number two in the Boys schools and Royals was one. So both schools maintain same ranks.

suneth Tuesday, 17 December 2013 11:37 AM
everyone? southwest asia? are you insane

ind Tuesday, 17 December 2013 11:39 AM
This is not true. May be your time it was good, but now it only shines because of talented pupils who selected to the School. I know it well as my son also studying at Royal.
11
ind Tuesday, 17 December 2013 11:39 AM
end of the day Royal get all the credits.

@suneth, dont mock someone just because you were fortunate to receive primary education.

Not only the country but Ananda is dropping in ranking. Reason, produced too many "so ccalled patriots".

Ibba Tuesday, 17 December 2013 02:13 PM
I don't see Isipathana College from list. Any reason?
14
AC Tuesday, 17 December 2013 02:49 PM
Ananda is not dropping rankings. Darmaraja is in Kandy. Not in Colombo. So all students who are in that area apply for Darmaraja. They don't try to come Colombo. That's why Darmaraja cutoff has gone high. Don't talk like a foolish. Hope you are from Royal as usual. lol

Can anyone tell me where the south west asia is. Is that arabic sea.
03
Goofy Tuesday, 17 December 2013 03:35 PM
In the 1960 Ananda was the leading school in Sri Lanka excelling in studies. What a sad story now. Even the big match had be abandoned due to poor crowd behaviour and worse, tear gassed .
01
Sugan Tuesday, 17 December 2013 03:37 PM
The names of many Tamil medium schools are mistaken. There is no Hartley vidyalaya or Jaffna Hindu Vidyalaya but Hartley College and Jaffna Hindu College. Take care when you type these names. Dont bring your 'sinhalaization' to the deep bottom of Tamil education institutions.

Hey man, are you living on planet earth. Sri Lanka is lacking in proper education both primary, secondary and universities . We are no where near India. For a start how many patents has Sri Lanka registered in the year 2013. Sri Lanka has a very high literacy rate, Lack IQ.
03
rohana Tuesday, 17 December 2013 03:54 PM
Bandaranayake College ,Gampaha is the best school in Sri lanka as we have 9 classes and we take the maximum number of students
51
Cyber Truth Tuesday, 17 December 2013 04:11 PM
Cut off marks should be depend on the number intake students.More than 450 students are taken by Bandaranayake College - Gampaha .It is the highest average in Sri Lanka. So Bandaranayake College is the most popular college in sri lanka.
