Former MP and diplomat Asitha Perera no more

Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Italy Asitha Perera passed away today following a cardiac arrest around 10 a.m. at a private hospital in Colombo Mr.Perera was 54.

Former National List Parliamentarian from the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, He served as a MP during President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga’s period.

Before his posting in Italy in September 2011, He was serving as the Sri Lankan Ambassador to South Korea from 2006 to 2009.

Mr.Perera’s body lies at residence, No 11, Police Park Avenue, Colombo 5 and the funeral will be at Borella Kanatte on Wednesday, September 18.

can some one explain why he has behaved so aggressively when he was sacked from his position in Italy.(was it ugly politics?)
