Former Army Commander General Sarath Fonseka has been promoted to the rank of Field Marshal by President Maithripala Sirisena a short while ago at a special function held at the Defence Ministry ground.

You need to honour the other two service commanders also for their contribution for the war efforts. Secret for the win was the team effort by all army, navy and airforce and further with the political leadership. All these guys should be honoured equally.
