Fined Rs. 10 for indecent exposure
A man who pleaded guilty to exposing his person in an indecent manner to a group of people at a public place in Kollupitiya was today ordered to pay a fine of Rs.10 by a Colombo Court.Filing a charge sheet against the accused in his forties, the Kollupitiya police alleged that the accused who stood on the pavement near the Kollupitiya junction had been exposing himself in public.
Police alleged that the accused had committed a punishable offence under section 4 of the Vagrants Ordinance. Colombo Fort Magistrate Kanishka Wijeratne imposed a fine of Rs.10 on the accused. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
