Former Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranyake's lawyers were today allowed to get the services of a panel of computer experts to inspect her accounts at the NDB on September 3, 4 and 5 between 2.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya made this order when defence Counsel Nalin Ladduwahetty informed the Magistrate that computer experts were in a position to inspect the computer data on the mentioned dates.

State Counsel Dilan Ratnayake appearing with the lawyers of the Bribery Commission said he would not object to the request by the defence counsel.

He asked the Magistrate to direct the Registrar of the Chief Magistrate’s Court to go along with the team of experts to the bank at the time of examining the computer data. The Magistrate put off the case for September 26. (T.Farook Thajudeen)
