CPA confiscates 800,000 kg of sand adulterated sugar

The Consumer Protection Authority said that its officials detected 800,000 Kg of Sugar mixed with sand at a warehouse in Sedawaththa.

Speaking to Daily Mirror CPA Chairman Rumy Marzook said that the authority had confiscated the stock and would be producing the suspects before courts in near future.

“I can’t reveal any details of the location, but we have confiscated the stock and will be producing it in Courts shortly,” he said.
