Audio: ‘Cobra girl’ withdraws complaint against Saudi man

The night club dancer who came to be better known as the ‘cobra girl’ has withdrawn her case against the Saudi national whom she earlier alleged had assaulted and abandoned her on a by-road at Wellampitiyaa few weeks ago. She said they were together again.

Police said they were on the look out to arrest this man but she had come to the Wellampitiya police and withdrawn her case before that could happen.

Police said she had been living with the Saudi Arabian for more than a month in a house at Wellampitiya when the incident happened. (Supun Dias)
