Canteen Chief nabbed near President’s House

Canteen Owners Association Organiser Asela Sampath had been arrested by the Cinnamon Gardens Police today in the vicinity of the President’s House at Wijerama in Colombo.
Mr. Sampath however had claimed he was on his way to the President’s residence to inform him on hazardous food.
Meanwhile, the Police said he was arrested for his suspicious behavior and that he would be released after recording a statement.
