The cabinet, at a special discussion summoned by President Mahinda Rajapaksa today, approved proposed amendments to the constitution. The proposals includes ammendments to the local government act to conduct polls under the mixed Propotional Representation system. (KB)

Cabinet consists of ministers enjoying all perks at the expense of poor people, none will oppose in order to lose the benefits, so why should they oppose to any change whatsoever??
