Buses agree for 7 per cent

Lanka Private Bus Operators Association (LPBOA) has agreed to the seven per cent bus fair revision with effect from November 01 as approved by the Cabinet.

President of the Association Gemunu Wijeratne said they demanded an increase of 12 per cent and that they would seek a court order to obtain the balance five per cent.

when will they increase the standard of private buses ? sri lankan buses are technically a metal box with 4 wheels assembled with an indian lorry engine.

With the present state of the public transport service offered a fare increase it not acceptable. It is similar to cattle being transported for slaughter.
