Boy killed in Moratuwa accident

A seven- year-old boy has succumbed to injuries suffered after he was knocked down by a vehicle driven by an Air Force Squadron Leader in Moratuwa this morning, the Police said.
Police said the boy had attempted to cross the Galle Road when he was knocked down by the vehicle.
The boy who admitted to the Lunawa Hospital and passed away while being transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment, the Police said.
The Squadron Leader and his private vehicle had been taken into custody by the Moratuwa Police. (LSP)
