Body of a trishaw driver found in Moratuwa

The body of a trishaw driver, who is believed to have been hacked to death, was found this morning at Moratumulla in Moratuwa, police said.

They identified the body as that of a suspect who was on bail over a killing in Idibedda, Moratuwa four months ago. The trishaw driver was reportedly killed at the time he was returning home after dropping his son at school.

Police suspect it to be a contract killing. (Pinsiri Perera)

We can't be proud of the current happenings at all. So many murders, rapes, robberies, child abuse, corruption..., many crimes go unsolved too. When such things are on the increase and when there is no peace of mind, how could you say this is a beautiful country. may be for politicians only as they have all the security, privileges and perks to live.
