The government will introduce a new bill in Parliament very soon to establish the proposed National Women’s Commission, Minister Tissa Karalliyadda said today in Parliament.

The Minister said that the bill drafted in this regard had been referred to the Legal Draftsman Department for approval at the moment.

Also, he said that safe houses would be set up for the protection of women who are under death threat.
