Audio: ‘Bandula must resign forthwith’
The Ceylon Teachers Union which revealed the ‘leaked’ Ordinary Level examination paper, called for the immediate resignation of Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena claiming that this was not the first instance that the country’s examination system was put in jeopardy.“The Education Minister has to take complete responsibility for this mess that he has put the education and examination systems into. This is not the first time that this has happened as we have witnessed during all major examinations held in the recent past” secretary of CTU Joseph Stalin said.
Stalin said that it was the officials who created the environment under which the science paper was ‘leaked’.
“There is no point in arresting people who had been mere recipients. It was the officials including the Chief of Examinations who created an environment under which such misdemeanor could occur therefore they should take full responsibility for this fiasco” he said.
Stalin called for the immediate resignation of the Minister who had publicly admitted the leak of the science paper. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
