Damana PS Chairman remanded till March 12

The Ampara Damana Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Mangala Mahinda Gunawardena was remanded till 12 by Ampara Additional Magistrate Stella Prinki when he was producedin court on assault charges.

 He is alleged to have assaulted a female management assistant attached to the Damana Divisional Secretariat.

The injured officer was admitted to the Ampara Hospital. (Wasantha Chandarapala)
