A’kattuwa PS Chairman surrenders to police

Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Jagath Samantha (UPFA), who is wanted in connection with the alleged assault on three private-bus employees on the Chilaw –Colombo and Puttalam – Colombo routes today surrendered to the Marawila Police through his lawyers.

The injured employees have been admitted to the Marawila Hospital. Meanwhile private bus operators on the Chilaw- Colombo, Puttalam –Colombo and Anamaduwa – Colombo routes have suspended bus services in protest over the assault.(DS)
