YouTuber Ratta arrested

YouTuber and social media activist Rathindu Senaratne, also known as Ratta has been arrested by the Colombo South Divisional Crime Detective Bureau (DCDB) this evening, Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said.

He was arrested after recording a statement from him by the Colombo Crimes Division.

Meanwhile, Counsel for Rathindu Senaratne said that he was arrested over a case filed at the Fort Magistrate's Court on charges of damaging public property during a protest at Bank of Ceylon Mawatha on May 21. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

This is not fair at all. While those who stole billions of state money move freely and hold the highest positions, only youths are framed and arrested. We are compelled to support youths whether they are right or wrong if this continues.

Government seems trying to scare people who are expecting to join Aragalaya in future,but millions who were unable to join them then thinking of ambiguity of law for common man, no visible legal actions on shameful central bank scam directly involved by politicians of high echelons , damages did to state property of parliament, during struggle for power in parliament, no legal actions or at least fact finding commissions to find misappropriation of public funds( revealed in pandora papers ect),this is shameful dictatorship of RW, but would people tolerate this longer and will join Aragalaya in future

The society and the nation cannot beheld to ransom just because some one is not happy with actions of some criminals. Sanity must prevail even if if a person decide to protest.
