Woman shot dead by brother-in-law in Nedunkeni

The Nedunkeni Police initiated an investigation after a 33-year-old woman travelling on a motorcycle was shot dead by her brother-in-law at Senepilaw in Nedunkeni today.

Police said the woman was travelling on the Senapila-Eettamurinjan Road when the suspect who was hiding in a jungle opened fire.

Initial investigations revealed that the shooting had taken place due to a personal dispute.

The suspect had reportedly fled the area following the shooting.(DSB)
