President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, delivering the government's policy statement in Parliament, said that he will not allow human rights violations to take place during his tenure and requested all politicians to refrain from provoking the public.

Yes your intention is good to stop violation of human rights. It should be first stopped at the Police Stations and security establishments. Human rights violations are taking place only there. Arresting citizens and holding them in detention without charge on fake complaints by back benches in the parliament is a violation human rights. Hope you don't allow such violations in the future.
