He’s doing a contract for Ranil to break Sajith’s votes….

His (RNil) job is to break orher's party. SJB will not be affected by SF's action as his vote base is not that much.

No impact. Max he will get 5000 votes. Sorry Fonseka man with vengeance and hatred. Sajith has gone long way ahead to win the election.

People's "blindness to history" is a worldwide phenomenon!!! The Buddhist monks of Sri Lanka already knew this, which is why they wrote the various chronicles of the island! The phenomenon continues into the modern day! SL is a "good" example of this too! 30 years of terror war, almost forgotten! The man who was able to end it with his strategy and brave soldiers, almost forgotten! Yes, even worse, the man who enabled people to make a new start is sometimes being viciously insulted today!!! I stick to my opinion that Sarath Fonseka would also be an excellent president, who stands out pleasantly from the political mediocrity of the other presidential candidates!!! He has all the skills needed for a real political new beginning for the country! What are Ranil, Sajith or Anura Kumara in comparison!!!

Definitely one thing would happen - in spite of all the big and loose talk, the real political standing would be known when the votes are counted like it happened once before !!

I admire him for the courage and leadership during one of the worst times in our history. I now feel so sad and disappointed that he is attempting to erase that position he has gained by almost sacrificing his life. I only can wish that he makes an attempt to enjoy his retirement than engage in this diary, rotten and contaminated game of politics

Ranil ruined this man, the sad part is he can't see it or he can't come to terms of it, he would have been a good leader if the country's economy was stable, look what happened to gota

Sarath Fonseka was good to lead the army when there is a war. Because his mentality is to fight and destroy the enemy at any cost. But that kind of character won’t work in the normal life where you need patience, vision, ability to work with a group and work in any capacity. After his retirement from Army, he fought with his own members in his own party Democratic National Party he created in 2012. He fought with Rajapasha’s who brought him up to the top in the Army. He fought with Sirisena who gave him complete presidential pardon and acquitted of all charges in 2015, restoring his civil rights. He switches side leaving Ranil who supported him through out his political journey. Now he has decided to go against Premadasa who gave him the highest position in the party and backed him over Harin. This time he will be the looser and will end up his journey with utter disgrace.

Each of the independent candidates approximately now 22 candidates are only costing heavily by lengthening the ballot paper which is costly, Please withdraw and get others also to withdraw and save money for our country.

VOLKER, DREAM ON THE PEOPLE KNOW THEIR OWN, BEING IN COMMAND AND OR ASSISTING IN COMMAND, DOESN'T GET ONE A CLEAN SWEEP INTO THE TOP SEAT IN PARLIEMENT. I HAVE A QUESTION, ARE YOU REPORTING FROM GERMANY?
TWENTYTWO IN THE RUNNING, ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF GOING ROUND THE AREAS THEY REPRESENT AND PASSING THE MESSAGE AROUND FOR THEIR SUPPORTERS TO VOTE FOR THE FOX. EVEN SO, A WIN IS FAR AWAY FROM THE FOX.

Citizen, yes, I am from Germany and I know Sri Lanka at least as well as you do! I know its people, its history, its culture, the philosophy of Buddhism, its politics, its leading politicians and the extraordinary achievements that Fonseka has made for Sri Lanka, in contrast to all the mediocre competing three main candidates (Ranil, Sajith, Anura Kumara)!!! Fonseka is the only one I trust to save this wonderful country for the second time!!!

Volker, a military leader is not very good as a civilian leader, we have seen it in many countries. One person I cannot understand is Sarath Fonseka who is very unpredictable.

Ranjith Saturday, 10 August 2024 08:37 AM
There are only 2 main candidates if you think positively don't waste your vote
Think twice before you decide to vote don't even follow or listen to people like SF, Wijaydasa etc etc, definitely the battle is between Sajith and Anura, you decide. Vote for the best team.

Citizen, yes, I come from Germany, but, dear friend, believe me, I know Sri Lanka at least as well as you do! You lost people respect that you earned for the military service to the Country. Now you are used by Ranil. Hopefully this election will end your political career.
