Warm weather advisory issued for several places tomorrow

Colombo, July 13 (Daily Mirror) - The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the Meteorology Department has issued a warm weather advisory for the Mullaittivu, Vavuniya, Batticaloa, Ampara, Trincomalee and Moneragala districts during the daytime tomorrow.

It said the heat index, the temperature felt on human body, is likely to increase up to ‘Caution Level’ at some places in these areas.

The public is advised to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade as often as possible on job sites, check up on the elderly and the sick who are indoors and not to leave children unattended inside vehicles.

The Department also advises people to limit strenuous outdoor activities, find shade and stay hydrated while outdoors and to dress in lightweight and white or light-coloured clothing.
