Voter turnout 20 percent in several districts

All these votes must have gone the NPP/JVP way. Opposition is so in disarray why would anyone be interested in voting (for them) unless the candidate is a well known local guy.

This is the result of false promises. All big talk and no action is the result. People are fed up of all governments. It is clearly reflected in the voter turnout.

By this time in Sep and Nov 2024, there was more than 50% in many districts. This poor voter turnout is a reflection of a considerable amount of people losing faith in NPP/JVP.
