Visiting Indian delegation to discuss allowing financial assistance to SL



Indian External Affairs Secretary Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra and three other senior Indian government officials arrived at the Katunayake International Airport this morning to discuss further on allowing financial assistance to Sri Lanka.

The delegation touched down at the airport at 9:20 am by a special flight from New Delhi.

The Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagle and officials from the office were present at the airport to greet the delegation.

The delegation left for Colombo immediately after disembarking. They are scheduled to meet the President, Prime Minister and a number of high profile Sri Lankan politicians.

The officials will wind up their visit and scheduled return to New Delhi around 6:00 pm today. (T.K.G Kapila)
