Colombo, April 25 - Prominent Sinhala lecturer and social activist Upul Shantha Sannasgala has been arrested over allegations of financial misconduct.
The arrest has been made by the Kandana police in response to accusations levelled against Sannasgala by an individual who claims that he failed to return Rs. 1 million, which was reportedly obtained from him.

It is normal thing to get arrested and stay in prison. Current system needs to change as this is an utter waste of public money.
